Friday the 9th. The Gang

It is Friday after a very busy week.  Working til 9pm, dinner til 10 and find out what is going on in the world for another hour (wow, a new IPad) and then write this.  I am sitting in the work room by myself.  My first time alone, other than sleeping for more than a week.  I have been unable to connect with my family as we are here and they are not necessarily there and there is no time when I know that I will be available or they will be.  I hope they will read my BLOG and know I love them.

Some introductions:  15 IBM team members,  13 countries
The gang on our CSC Team:  Francis from Spain, Agusto from Costa Rica, Christie from US, Ian from Canada, Shaun from Australia, Ilona from Holland/the Netherlands, Johnathan from Ireland is hiding, Perl from India, Petra from Hungary, Sonja from Germany, Aldrey from Brazil, Maria from Mexico, Ross from US, Ashish from India. Xiao from China  is hiding off camera.   Honestly a cool set of teammates with a diverse set of skills and backgrounds

And here we are the first day at work on the COSTECH site with Conrad who was telling us about TERNET.
Conrad, Maria, Ross, Ashish, Stephen from Out University, Aldrey

In Dar es Salaam this view is typical of the big city and and is quite different from where we are in Morogorro.

And directly looking down from my hotel room, I could see this gentleman outside in the alley preparing some from of bread or pancakes?

Just down from him was this truck with the gentleman unloading live chickens for the local eatery.

And these black tanks are on lots of buildings.  They are full of water just in case the water system is not working and you need water in your plumbing system.
